Premise

As a detainee of the state, you are forced to prove your compliance at timed intervals. You must orchestrate your escape whilst confirming your identity. If you take too long, the authorities will lock down the building.


Controls

  • WASD - Move
  • Mouse - Look
  • Left Mouse Button - Interact
  • Shift - Run
  • CTRL/C - Crouch
  • Space - Jump
  • R - Restart Level
  • P/ESC - Pause Menu

How To Limit Framerate

  1. Open the game at least once so the configs are generated
  2. Press Win + R and type in %localappdata%
  3. Navigate to \GMTK21\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
  4. Open GameUserSettings.ini and under [/Script/Engine.GameUserSettings]
  5. Find the following lines
    1. bUseVSync=False
    2. FrameRateLimit=0.000000
  6. Set these to whatever you find suitable
    1. Note: Physics may be unable at frame rate caps below 60, it is recommended that you lower the graphics quality instead if your GPU struggles to keep 60 by default

How to tweak graphics settings

  1. Open the same GameUserSettings.ini shown above
  2. Under the first category, which is [ScalabilityGroups] are the settings
  3. Each setting apart from sg.ResolutionQuality goes from 0 to 4
    1. 0 - Low
    2. 1 - Medium
    3. 2 - High
    4. 3 - Epic
    5. 4 - Cinematic
  4. Set these to whatever you find suitable

would love to see it expanded just a bit more to really wring as much as possible out of the mechanics you've got here.

It's probably evident in the overall length that we spent the bulk of our time designing and implementing the systems, so we were somewhat light on content for the player to explore those systems within. Thanks for playing though!
